Photos – If God Why?

Every person provides a gift to the world through their creativity. This is one way humanity demonstrates they are created in the image of God, whose chief characteristics include Creativity and Compassion. For some, creativity is manifest in a crafted physical work. For others, it is more ephemeral and expressed in language, music, food, or movement. And for yet others, creativity is expressed in an environment that is designed for others to enjoy. For myself, I find joy in photographing nature. In one sense, I am only recording a scene that the Almighty has created (beauty out of nothingness), but perhaps there is a small bit of creativity in noticing a unique perspective or composition within that scene. Photography forces me to notice and appreciate the details of God’s creativity, and allows me to capture the awe and beauty of that snapshot in time.
