Adoption almost always occurs as a result of tragedy or misfortune. Yet the Bible teaches that those who follow God have been predestined to be adopted into God’s family. In fact, adoption is God’s chosen vehicle for bringing mankind back under his dominion once man has struck out on his own accord. Adoption then becomes a picture of God’s redemption – his way of creating beauty and wholeness out of tragedy and brokenness.
